Music Ministry at Westminster

Sermon Podcasts

We strive to follow Jesus Christ by being… Attentive to the Word

The music ministry of Westminster serves to support and enrich the congregation's worship of God. Through the glorious gift of music, we proclaim God's word, sing God's praise, and offer our prayers. Although fellowship and nurture are present in our music ministry, contributing to our Christ-centered worship is the main focus of the music program.

The Chancel Choir

is the principal ensemble in the music program. From September to June, its members provide leadership in worship on Sunday mornings. The choir's sacred musical repertoire spans a wide range of styles, including both classical works and spirituals. The choir has also shared larger choral works in worship, including Vivaldi's Gloria and requiem settings by Mozart, Faure, and Rutter. Each year, the choir leads the congregation in the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, based on the annual service held at Cambridge since 1918.

Other Opportunities

We welcome and encourage individuals to share their musical talents as a soloist or contributor to a small group. Whether you play an instrument or sing, your talents may become part of the music ministry of Westminster.
